- ¼ cup 50 g granulated sugar
- ¼ cup 50 g light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 lb Granny Smith apples peeled, cored, and sliced about ½” thick (approx. 10mm)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Prepare the apples: Peel, core, and slice the Granny Smith apples into ½-inch thick slices. Toss with lemon juice to prevent browning.
Melt the butter: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the salted butter until bubbling.
Cook the apples: Add apple slices to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they begin to soften.
Add sugars and cinnamon: Sprinkle granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon over the apples. Stir well to coat evenly.
